The Mira Building was under construction. Viewed from Main Street at Folsom Street, the twisted nature of the building was not yet visible from this location.

A number of signs at street level (viewed from Spear and Folsom) gave the name of the building, and means to contact the sales office.

The lower few stories of the building were complete. You could see how decks changed shape as you progressed up or down the face of the building.

Further up the Mira Building the floors were still incomplete, but in this view of unfinished floors one can tell how the building will appear twisted.

A sign at street level gave the web address for the building. The sign specified, "LiveAtMiraSF.com," but that web address forwards to the actual address, "mirasf.com."

A better angle on the building illustrates the twisted nature of the building.

A view looking up at the top of the building. Not only does this illustrate the twisted nature of the building, but it also shows that the building still lacks all its floors.

Three months later, the Mira Building appears far more complete. This is the view of the building from Spear and Folsom Streets in San Francisco.

Straight Elevator
(9 of 9) (728 views)

Mira_SF_Building_San_Francisco_20190504_140952_C19_2567.jpg

Although the Mira Building appears to twist, the construction elevator running up one corner of the building is perfectly straight. Hence the twist is an illusion caused by the offsetting of floors, not by and actual twisting of the building.
