Texture, As Found Art
A sand bag for holding tripods, C-stands, and other cinema and photographic equipment down, was covered with stripes.
The stripes were sewn and still held the dimples of that sewing process.
An American Rag brand hoodie was woven from yarn. This was a close up view of one of its sleeves.
A blue bandana was folded and laid on a table as a form of napkin.
The design printed on the bandana held no relationship to its texture.
The glass leaded into the front door was made of several textures of glass.
Not only was the design rough, but so was the texture of the glass.
A queen sized blanket was crumpled and laid on the living room carpet.
Sunshine, streaming through the glass patio doors, edge lit the carpet.
A woven foot stool cover wrapped a bright red foot stool. The holes in the cover created the texture.
A thin, worn cotton dish towel was laid atop a small folding table.
It had been allowed to dry out. Its surface was so thin and worn that it almost had no visible texture at all.
